ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - A St. Petersburg man is now facingan animal cruelty charge after hitting a cat with a hammer.
A witness told investigators that as Douglas Michaud struck the
wounded animal, he said -- quote -- "I'm tired of hearing it
squeal all morning."
The St. Petersburg Times reports that Michaud told investigators
he was -- quote -- "putting the cat out of its misery" after it was hit by a car.
