Jumper says she pulled in to an Exxon service station on Dauphin Island Parkway around two in the morning Sunday the 18th to gas up her truck. What happened next, was something she says, she would have never imagined. "I'm thinking that the guys coming over there to ask me for change, then all of a sudden you know boom. I was in shock, you know it went in right here, but yet I was hurting right here and people couldn't understand because at first their was no blood,"Said Jumper. Mobile Police say Jumper was shot once in the chest, when the gunman hopped in her truck and sped off.
But Jumper says he didn't make it very far."He had hit a telephone pole or light pole or something like that and wrecked my truck so they arrested him before I ever made it to the hospital,"Said Jumper. Authorities arrested 23 year old Absalom Lucky and are charging him with attempted murder and robbery in the 1st degree.
Absalom Lucky remains in Mobile Metro Jail. He is scheduled to go to court in July.
