The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office has captured man who was mistakenly released from jail.
On April 18, deputies mistakenly released 36-year-old Scott Menefee. They meant to release his brother instead.
The mistake was blamed on a clerical error by a clerk at the Santa Rosa County Jail.
Acting on a tip, deputies found Menefee Sunday on Bucket Creek Road in Milton. He has been booked back into jail to serve the remainder of his sentence for parole violation.
