Update 2:58 p.m.- The Coast Guard has suspended its search for Colin Rayner. The Long Beach Police Department says Rayner is safely on shore.

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - The Coast Guard reports it is involved in
two different search-and-rescue missions in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Coast Guard says one search is for 28-year-old Colin Rayner,
who reportedly fell overboard from his 18-foot pleasure craft north
of Ship Island off the Mississippi coast at about 6:50 p.m. Monday.
Rescue teams from Mobile, Gulfport and New Orleans were
dispatched to the area. Also searching for Rayner are the Long
Beach Police Department and the Mississippi Department of Marine
Resources.
The Coast Guard says it also responded to a Mayday call that a
vessel was in distress about 64 miles southeast of the Panama City,
Fla., Pass.
