TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The 2000 presidential recount ishappening all over again but this time it's taking place in front
of the movie cameras.
Film crews from HBO are shooting the movie "Recount."
It's a film about the Florida fallout from the 2000 presidential
election.
Filming of the movie began last week in Jacksonville and moved
to Tallahassee this weekend to shoot crowd and protest scenes
around the Capitol.
It stars Kevin Spacey, Denis Leary, Laura Dern, John Hurt and
others.
Despite having well-known actors involved in the film, one of
the key figures in the 2000 recount believes it will be hard to
recreate the events of seven years ago.
Tallahassee attorney Barry Richards who represented the Bush
campaign in Florida says it was a unique time in our country's
history.
The movie is being directed by Oscar winner Sydney Pollack.
