A News Five broadcast their story Saturday.
James Tucker is disabled, having had his right foot amputated because of diabetes.
Tucker lived at the home with his wife, their daughter and their two grandchildren.
The Tuckers said Sunday that after News Five aired their story, people started calling in to help.
Tucker said, "Some people called wanting to donate clothing to the children. Another guy had called: he had a jet chair. He knew my chair had gotten burned up in the house so he had a chair, another chair for me."

Church leaders say congregation members have been lending a hand from the moment they heard about the fire.
Bishop Alvin Hixon said church members have donated money and clothes.
The Tuckers are still looking for a permanent place to live.
