Easter's right around the corner. That means big family dinners around Mobile. Even though it's only Thursday, cooks at the battle house hotel are busy getting ready for their first ever Easter brunch. Chef Charles Mereday says they're making high-end breakfast and dinner foods. Challenging dishes include a seafood frittata, grilled duck and filet beef.He says you need to prepare everything a few days in advance.
“We actually make everything here on premises,” says Chef Mereday. “Everything from making all the desserts to preparing all the sauces, preparing all the meats cleaning the fish, everything.” Mereday says they have a capacity crowd this year. 150 people have made reservations for Sunday's meal.
