Hannah Storey has worked in retail for years but she's never been robbed before...much less by a man wearing underwear over his head!"I was just taking care of a customer, some guy just walked in with boxers over his head," says Storey. "He had his hand under his shirt, said he had a gun and asked me for the money."
The robbery happened Monday night at Reddy's Food Mart on East Olive Road in Pensacola. Storey says the whole situation was frightening and bizarre.
"The boxer part was a little weird. The gun scared me but I laughed after it was all over."
The boxer bandit has also baffled the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
"People use ski masks or they wear hoods or they wear caps with big glasses," says Glenn Austin with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. "I don't think we've ever seen anybody walk in with their underwear over their head looking out the little hole trying to rob somebody."
The underwear bandit got away with cash and two packs of cigarettes. If you have any information about the armed robbery, call the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
