Late this afternoon, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office arrested a man they say robbed a Pensacola convenience store wearing underwear on his head.Last Monday, a clerk at Reddy's Food Mart on East Olive Road told deputies that a man came into the store with boxer shorts over his head and face. He walked behind the counter, pointed a gun at the clerk and then demanded money. On his way out of the store, the man grabbed two packs of cigarettes.
Investigators say that man is Frank Smith. While he used underwear to hide his face, he did not wear gloves to cover his hands. Investigators say they lifted Smith's fingerprints from the front door and counter. Smith faces multiple charges including robbery, aggravated assault and use of a firearm during a felony.
