MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The body of a fallen Alabama soldier hascome home.
Army Chief Warrant Officer James Carter was one of two soldiers
who died on June 5th at Kandahar Army Airfield, Afghanistan. He was
42.
The soldiers were aboard a Kiowa helicopter that crashed during
a test flight.
Carter's remains arrived in Montgomery on Sunday. He was
assigned to the 96th Aviation Support Battalion, 101st Combat
Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort
Campbell, Kentucky.
Carter's funeral will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. at
Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery.
