Middle and high school students should be allowed to possess guns to keep the teachers from assaulting them sexually, and mentally!! Indoctrination of our children should be a punishable crime!

Lets get back on topic.  First this bill is for personal protection on a college campus.  Professor’s and wealthy students would probably be the main group using the gun privilege on campus.  Aggravating circumstances would be drugs, alcohol and poor judgement.  Lets not forget the hormone issue as well.  This is a recipe for out of control violence.  By law i can only shoot to defend myself, so how is everyone at school going to benefit from these weapons in the hands of poorly trained individuals.  The net worth of these pistol packing individuals will not be able to get anyone back to normal health.  Now lets get to the point, IT TAKES ON AVERAGE 30 MINUTES to get someone from a college campus to the nearest medical facility for treatment.  BECAUSE OF THESE WEAPONS the same trip will take 3 to 6 hours.  You may as well shot yourself because help will not be coming.  The area will have to secured before the emt can enter the building.

It’s YOUR responsibility to protect yourself and your family. Criminals do not obey laws restricting guns on campus or elsewhere. The police if they arrive will take 10 minutes. Your only option to keep from being the predator’s prey is to defend yourself.

Please get a pistol permit (if you don’t already have one) and learn how to safely handle a handgun and conceal it. It’s not about killing, it’s about stopping someone who doesn’t listen to reason and is intent on taking your or your family’s lives.

You wouldn’t take your car out and leave your airbags at home. When you need a gun, and you don’t have one with you, it’ll be too late.

Well said glamblitz, we are rapidly losing our rights to bear arms.  I realize 50 years ago both the gun issue and the driving issue were not realized.  I will probably always own a gun but I never leave home with it.  Personnal safety in public is best left up to professionals, one mistake could cost you your treasure it took a lifetime to gather.  I believe a new kind of issurance is on the horizon for gun owners.

Ok this is dumb! Does not our constitution state we have the right to bare arms? & why have Americans become so sissyfied that guns are evil? If one person would have had a gun other than the Murders @ Columbine, Virgina Tech, The mall shooting, or church shooting alot less people would have died! It takes one bullet to kill! & since guns can hurt people & you have to be mature to have one I think they should not let anyone have cars either! bcuz they can be used as a weapon too! Alot more people die from a car wreck bcuz of a “responsible adult” not paying attention killed an innocent person! Americans are so STUPID!!!!

Gun owners have to have a high level of maturity an understanding of responcibility and a safety mentallity.  Some one whom is eighteen years old might have some of these attributes but unlikely to meet the requirement.  If one fails in any area an accident is likey causing serious bodily harm or death.  Charlie brown had Linus carring his blanket everywhere he went.  Imagine someone carring a gun in a classroom or gym with other people having access to this weapon.  What kind of people have we become to think a gun will protect us when our law enforcement is very capable.  Imagine an officer arriving at a school where 50 people are carring firarms because someone was shot.  How does this officer contain the area and protect the public with all this fire power at the scene.
