Things were pretty chaotic at Robert and Pat Edington's house Thursday! The Daphne couple will be hosting a very special dinner guest. Former president Bill Clinton will be the guest of honor at a fundraising dinner hosted by the Edington's. 100 guests are forking out a thousand bucks a plate to help pay off Hillary Clinton's massive presidential campaign debt.
"It's a tremendous honor for anyone to have a seated or past president of the United States visit their residence," says Robert.
"How many times in your life do you have the President of the United States come to see you?" says Pat.
The menu is top secret, but the Edington's think the former commander-in-chief will enjoy the food.
"His advisors told me to make sure some of the food is healthy," says Pat. "They want to try and keep him healthy but they say he'll probably go straight for the fried oysters!"
The Edington's daughter, Virginia, flew in from Arizona to meet the president. She says she'll ask Clinton a few tough questions about the economy.
"How is this 750 billion dollars going to help me? That's the biggest question I have," says Virginia. "I think he'll know more about how that money is really going to affect the individual person."
Clinton and his guests will watch the vice-presidential debate, then enjoy a meal under the stars overlooking Mobile Bay.
