i just want jack and tony’s mother to know that what was done yesterday wasnt because of anything other than drugs. i know because stephen dean douglas is my husband. ive never met anthony but ive known jack for over 5 years and i know that deep down he is a wonderful caring and loving person. the boys u see in that video arent men we know. they are under the influence of something that makes them do things that they wouldnt do otherwise. im thankful no one was hurt and am praying that everyone involved will find it in thier hearts to forgive them, if that is at all possible. i can only be thankful that im not having to see thier faces because it would just break my heart. mrs. philips, im sorry for ur loosing ur father and having to go thru this too. i am praying for u!

I just want to apologize to the City of Mobile, the bank, the employees, the offiicers, and any others that had to be involved in my son’s, Tony, heart breaking and unacceptable behavior today.  It breaks my heart, and many others, that he chose such a path.  There are so many people that love Tony and have held Tony up in prayer and are praying even harder for him now.

If anyone can read this to him, I want to say “Tony, this is mom, and I love you with all my heart, but God loves you more.  I don’t understand what or why you thought you could do what you did today, because it is not acceptable.  I can only hope and pray that you will now make the right choices from this moment on to do what is right.  I just want you to know that it is never too late to start doing what is right.  I beg you to please turn your life around, because I know the real Tony that is inside you, a loving and caring son, dad, brother, & grandson”.  Love Mom
