Jack Phillips, Tony Williams and Dean Douglas are all charged with first degree robbery.

Mobile Police say two men walked into the Regions Bank at 2720 Spring Hill Avenue just after 3:00 p.m. on tuesday wearing ski masks and sunglassses.

Police tell us that after the robbery, they spotted the getaway car on Gordon Smith Drive. When they pulled the car over, three men got out and tried to escape.

Police believe that Phillips was the getaway driver.

Now, check out the video attached to this story. You'll hear and see two of the men talking to the camera. Phillips said he robbed the bank so he could live it up at the casinos.

Family and friends are shocked! Jessica Harrison knows two of the men arrested."I know Tony and I know Jack and they are really good people. They really are. I'm not trying to take up for them because what they did was wrong. I do believe they do need to serve their time but in the long run they will learn a big lesson from it."

The penalty for a state charge of 1st degree robbery ranges from 10-99 years in prison! The three men haven't been charged federally... yet.

You do wrong you go to jail...... maybe they will get the help they need in jail

I Know only one of the 3 & honestly Tony is a good guy. What he was thinking the day he robbed that bank I will never understand and honestly im sure he won’t either! I’ve known Tony for years, and he was always the sweetest most caring person, would lend a helping hand whenever he could. Yeah as he got older im sure his ways changed a bit and yeah Drugs did become apart of his life but what person in this world can say they have never consumed an alcoholic beverage, taken a pain pill, smoked weed! Some become easily addicted while others don’t! I Wish this would have never happened not only for Tony’s sake but for his family his little girl Lexi his friends everyone that was apart of his life! Lexi is his world if anyone has every seen those two together would never have to question that!It breaks my heart to know her daddy won’t be there for some of the things that will take place in her life. Because saying this as a single mother myself,if my son grew up without his dad it would..

Okay for those of you that say if your parents have been in jail then you are going to turn out the same way.... That is ridiculous!  If that was the case I would have turned out a really bad person.  I came from a broken home and my dad stayed in and out of jail.  Which I have never had any run ins with the law.  I am not hooked on drugs, but yes my father is.  Oh yeah and on top of that my Mom is an alcoholic and I am not.  So lets see how bad I turned out.  I am 22 years old and I own a house, a brand new car, I am married and in a wonderful marriage, and I am attending college.  I just think that some of you people are just on here to have something to run your mouths about!  If were not friends with these guys then you need to go somewhere esle, because no one wants to hear your negitive words and to bring someones child into this is a very stupid thing to do.  Everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves a second chance.  No one has the right to judge except GOD!!!

Part II/The best of the best fall and we all would like to have picture perfect families and friends, but then again we would not be able to relate to those Jesus related to. We as parents and children of our parents must take responsibility for our own actions and not place blame. Yes, Tony made a beyond bad choice/decision, and Tony along with ALL his family and friends are living with it every second. But it is never too late to turn your life around and start making the right choices in life. Negative people would love to see Tony stay down, but the God I know and serve will give him the strength, through the prayers of so many loving and caring people, to get back up and become the man God had called him to be, as well as the other boys! I challenge all of you to go to the youtube website and type in the search box mercyme, click on mercy me bring the rain, and to the right scroll down, click on the mercy me bring the rain story behind the song, then click on the soldiers!2 b cont

And I am the other grandmother of the child you are referring to. To you who doesn’t believe in God, I promise will know God now or in the end! God have mercy on you. Because God loves you whether you want him to or not! Also, I pray for you, your families and friends! Because I have the right to do so as an American, just as you have the right to post all of your heartless comments. I pray these comments, negative or positive, will allow people to gain the knowledge and wisdom regarding drugs and the consequences one must suffer! WAKE UP PEOPLE! DRUGS ARE DEADLY AMMUNITION! Why do you think the law puts a capp on the legal alcohol limit of 0.08, UNDER THE INFLUENCE, and against the law to operate ANY vehicle! Whether it is alcohol, cocaine, meth, marijuana, a legal drug or illegal drug, once you consume too much, drugs can make you go down a path that is beyond shameful. I’m not finished.......This is part I! I will continue on part II of these comments!  TO BE CONTINUED..............

I am this child’s grandmother that you all are referring to and would really appreciate you leaving her out of it.  She is not even two years old yet and does not even belong in these comments.  We do love Tony and our family will stand behind him.  We do not condone what he has done and are very sorry.  We will all have to live with this and make the best of it and we will help our daughter, grandchild and Tony all that we can.  Thank you for your many prayers as this does put alot of stress on the families of these young men.

Oh cry me a river.... I think you are just trying to help blame it on drugs because you were a retard and went to rehab how many times???? WOW that is pretty bad. Sure drugs take over your life when you left them! The best way to prevent jail, rehab, and being a loser is to have enough self respect to not fall under the influence. I know plenty of people who use illegal substances regularly and they dont need rehab, they are productive, sure there are many people who are drug bums, but it does not have to be that way.. Depends on your motivation to be better than the people you see around you who are bums, that should be everyones motivation!!! This bank robbing situation is the perfect example, you see this and say “hey i never want to be like that” it is as simple as that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, sadly statistics say the child will have to beat the odds to be a valued memeber of society! I sure hope that it does!! Religion is just another word for HOPE! You dont need hope if motivated!

are we their family members.  It is a very sad situation., but it does not make them “losers” or “bad” people.  Drugs & alcohol ruin lives & destroy families every single day & that is reality.  And to the person that said there is no God, I feel especially sorry for you.  If there was no God, I promise you, I would not be here today & I know that for a fact.  They might be on their way to prison right now, but hopefully it will prevent them from being on their way to hell & hopefully they will turn their lives around.  It’s just really not fair to write all of these mean things about these guys.  Have sympathy & compassion, even if you are not a Christian, just show some respect as a human being.  And even if you don’t want to show sympathy & compassion to them, at least have some respect for their families.  In the end, it’s not about what you or I think or say because God IS IN CONTROL & hopefully they will choose to let Him lead their lives down the right path.
