A man wanted for robbing a bank in Georgia is arrested on Pensacola beach. On Sunday, a deputy from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office spotted Gerald Mathis lying on a blanket, drinking a beer. The deputy recognized Mathis from a recent BOLO.
Once in custody, investigators say Mathis confessed to robbing a bank in LaGrange, Georgia. Mathis also said that he was out of cash and planned to rob another bank Monday in Pensacola.
