But Wilhite says buses are not traveling in the Bon Secour area because roads are flooded and have been closed.
Highway 49, Highway 16, Highway 12 and Highway 10 in the Bon Secour area are closed.
Wilhite says washed out roads in the Elberta area could also cause problems for school buses this morning. Wilhite says Highway 95 in Elberta is washed out. The intersection of South 87 and Highway 20 is also washed out.
There is also flooding near the streets around the new Foley Elemenetary construction site. The school is still open and police are directing traffic in the area.
Wilhite adds bus travel may be slower in some areas. Buses may not be at some bus stops at their normal pick-up time. Parents are urged to stay with their children until the bus arrives.
