Police say a stabbing near AuburnUniversity's campus today appeared to be a dispute between two
roomates.
The stabbing at Edge Apartments prompted a campus-wide alert by
the university, which later advised that no student was involved.
Police said in a statement that they responded to a 911 call
just before noon and found a man stabbed. The victim was
transported to East Alabama Medical Center where he underwent
surgery for his injuries.
Police said they were seeking a known suspect and that there was
no reason to believe the suspect is dangerous to anyone else.
Police did not immediately release the names of the victim or
suspect.
