Governor Bob Riley is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the murder of an Auburn student.
18-year-old Lauren Burk was shot and killed Tuesday night on North College Street in Auburn. Her burning car was found about a half hour later on campus.
“Everything that can be done must be done to bring this killer to justice," Riley said. "I hope that this reward will encourage someone who can help police solve this crime to come forward. Our prayers go out to Lauren’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective James Perry at 334.501.3140.
