The Mobile County Sheriff's Office has arrested Michael Crocker for theft and making a false report to authorties. On August 23rd, Deputies were called to Crockers home on Dogwood Drive. He told deputies that he had been attacked and his tongue was cut out. Deputies now say Crocker's story didn't add up and he did the cutting himself. Crocker is also charged with stealing $200,000 dollars from Vulcan Industries in Mount Vernon. Deputies say the money was removed from company funds to a personal account. While he has not been charged with murder, Cochran says Crocker is a suspect in Stephen Perret's August 17th homicide. Perret was shot to death inside a truck near his home on Dogwood Lane. Perret was plant manager at Vulcan Industries. He was Crocker's neighbor and coworker.
