An Amtrak passenger train bound for New
Orleans has collided with a truck in northern Copiah County south
of Jackson. At least four injuries were reported by authorities.
The southbound City of New Orleans hit a garbage truck around
1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A Mississippi Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman says
Tuesday four have been injured and two were taken to the hospital.
Katherine Crowell says it's was unclear if the injured were on the
train or in the truck.
Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says the train left Chicago on

passengers have been moved to a nearby shelter and could be taken
