The second annual Alabama Tax Free Weekend starts Friday.
That means no taxes on school supplies under $50, clothes less than $100, and computers under $750.
Not every city and county in Alabama is participating in the tax free shopping holiday.
For example, the Eastern Shore Center in Spanish Fort will still charge a 1% sales tax this weekend.
You can find a list of counties and cities participating by visiting the Alabama Department of Revenue.

I would think that most all parents have bought their school supplies by now since school starts next week.  Waiting until the last minute only leads to frustration - especially in trying to find sizes in the children’s clothing.  Most everything is picked over by now.  It would be nice if they would have this tax free weekend a little earlier next year.
