Alabama basketball coach Mark Gottfriedis back at work after having surgery to repair a small hernia.
Gottfried said he'd been bothered by some pain recently and it
was exacerbated during Wednesday night's game at Texas A&M.
He said doctors suggested he go ahead and have the surgery
Sunday night and he was released from DCH Regional Medical Center
in Tuscaloosa early Monday morning.
The coach used the quick turnaround as a lesson for his players,
saying he always tells them to "play through."
He said before practice Monday that this is his way of playing
through.
