A Judge in Gulfport, Mississippi has sentenced a contractor to 4 years in prison after he failed to complete repairs to a home in Pass Chrisitan after Hurricane Katrina.
Valention Salazar, 46, will also be required to pay back $43,560 for the job he never finished.
Salazar pleaded guilty yesterday in a Harrison County courtroom.
He admitted he owed the family money and the job he did at the home of Charles and Peggy Cowlie was below standards.
The homeowners paid Salazar upfront for his work.
