The IRS says nearly 21,000 Alabamians have not filed a tax return for 2004. If you are one of them, time is quickly running out to claim your cash. You must file a tax return by April 15th. After that, you're hard earned money becomes property of the U.S. Treasury.
“The clock is ticking for people who failed to file for 2004,” said IRS spokesman Dan Boone. “There is money that will be lost if they don’t file by April 15, plus they should be aware that if they fail to file a return for 2007, they won’t get an economic stimulus payment.”
