Gaps in a fence and overgrown brush are masking a problem at Scarborough Middle School.

The landscape hasn't changed but the problems are getting worse.

We're told that complaints have been rolling in for the past six months due to fence problems and a gulley behind campus.

According to officials with the Mobile County District Attorney's office, a report of a stolen gun and even allegations of a sexual assault in that gulley have them concerned.

Tommy Sheffield is the facilities manager for the school system. We showed him video of a hot spot for kids skipping school and he plans to send a crew on Wednesday to check it out. "It looks like according to your photographs, we have some erosion problems in the Northwest corner of campus. We'll address that with fencing and or put the earth back in place where they can't go under the fence."
