Police say that Lam Luong tossed his four children off the Dauphin Island Bridge in January.

Almost three months later, Luong's been indicted on 5 counts of capitol murder and pleaded not guilty.

In court on Tuesday, he was wrapped in a bulletproof vest and was sporting a full beard.

Last month, a secret grand jury handed down the indictments against the Vietnamese immigrant.

Judge Charles Graddick mentioned that he's prepared to deal with a change of venue request and wants to make sure Luong gets a fair trial.

Luong has a new defense team since moving from District to Circuit Court. According to legal workers, doing an attorney swap is not uncommon with court appointed attorneys.

Luong's new attorney, Greg Hughes, says he's only been on the case a few days and hasn't had much time with his client.

Tiffany asked, "Do you think you client's crazy?"

Hughes answered, "I don't have no idea. I've not talked with him hardly at all. I really can't tell you anything else."

Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson doesn't believe Luong has psychological problems and says that could hold the trial up even longer. "If for instance they raise psychological defenses, then it would probably take months to sort through all of that."

The trial is expected to take two weeks once the date and location are set. We know the trial won't start before October at the earliest.

The bodies of his children, 4 month old Danny, 3-year old Ryan, 1-year old Lindsey and 2-year old Hannah were found one at a time over a two-week span in January. Hannah's body was discovered hundreds of miles away off the coast of Louisiana.

He needs to be tossed over with bricks on his head and feet and then let him rot in the water and let the things in the water eat him… It just makes me sick what he has done-they need to just fry him now because our tax money is taking care of him

I,m with Happiness on the punishment! If you do the crime be prepared to serve the time or punishment. No “GET OUT OF JAIL FREE” cards, But I see that coming down the road,his attorney would be crazy to not get him to plead crazy. I can’t think of a punishment fitting for this animal other than to see that he is unable to do this again and the only way for that is Death,crazy or not.

He was charged once for each child (4+) then one for the four as a whole (1) (=5).
And no he is not crazy he is a flipping crack addict. He wanted money for crack and this was his revenge at his wife for not giving it to him. Thats not crazy thats called a serious adiction.

Should one deemed as having a psychological disorder permit him/her the right to hurt/kill others?
If one cannot function by the laws (legal and nature) set forth in this society, then our job should be to remove him for good—crazy or not!

I think he would be crazy not to plead he is crazy!
