Tropical Storm Ida may not have been a major storm, but it did cause its share of problems - especially in the Florida Panhandle. Several roadways were closed due to flooding or sand. One of those roads was J. Earle Bowden Way (officially State Rd. 399), the roadthat connects Navarre and Pensacola Beach. Now it's back open. Drivers should know that there is still some damage on the road, especially on the north side. There are drop offs and damage points that are clearly marked by cones and traffic barrels.
