Florida's Attorney General's Office says it has received more than 4,000 complaints about gasoline price gouging since Friday. The AG's Office found enough evidence from 1,500 of those complaints to send them to the Economic Crimes Division. Some of the complaints being sent to the ECD are from the Panhandle.
Escambia County - 17 complaints
Okaloosa County - 9 complaints
Santa Rosa County - 5 complaints
Walton County - 3 complaints
Meanwhile, state agriculture officials said they would serve 16 gas companies.
The Attorney General's Office tells News 5 it is also serving subpoenas to the corporations that own Flying Js, Pilots, Dodges and Valeros.
