EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE - (AP) - First lady Michelle Obama says
she'll fight to ensure the concerns of military families are heard
in Washington.
Obama spoke to more than 1,100 airmen and their families at
Eglin Air Force Base in the Panhandle Thursday following an earlier
event in Miami.

While no one other than the families themselves can truly know
the stresses of multiple war-zone deployments, she said she
respects their sacrifices and understands the strains on their
families.
The first lady said she supports education benefits for military
spouses and family and medical leave benefits for the families of
wounded soldiers.
She also met with Army Rangers, Explosive Ordnance Disposal
technicians and others who have been deployed many times to Iraq
and Afghanistan.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - President Barack Obama says it's time to do
the right thing for the environment and at the same boost the
economy by doing more to promote renewable energy and reduce the
nation's dependence on foreign oil.
At a town hall meeting Thursday in New Orleans, a participant
asked Obama what can be done to make environmental policies more
effective.
Obama pointed to clean-energy programs already being financed by
the economic stimulus package. He said renewable energy has the
potential to become a huge engine for economic growth in the
economy.
The president said he'll be pushing for a broader clean-energy
initiative once he's done working on health care legislation.

We could cut our consumption of foreign oil if we would drill more here! And the other source is shale-oil which is available. We have the resources and technology to extract oil with out harming the environment. It would be nice to have a resource that is"Green"but this will never happen,we will never stop using oil as a energy source.Other countries that thought going green would produce economic growth found out for every job created, two were lost.(Job Ratio is last yrs. quote.)

If the girl knew how to work it,the POTUS would be PUTTY. smile But,of course, this is one more lie-to make for good press…

Mrs. Obama states that she will fight to make sure the concerns of the military are heard in Washington…HUH? She is married to the POTUS-all she’s gotta do is whisper it in his ear…if that doesn’t work, well a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!lol Don’t take much to change a man’s mind, and make them do what YOU want. Totally unbelievable…

No,the ninth ward is already IN the White House…

New Orleans was flooded, because antiquated, under-maintained levees breached.  The Mississippi gulf coast was leveled by the brunt force of nature.  Some stood strong and worked to get help to the region.  Others just phoned it in from their condos in Dallas, while their constituency suffered.

NOLA residents are still looking for the government to bail them out. Maybe we should move the White House to the lower ninth ward.

sheltiedad - Go watch the video of Dunn singing the praises of Mao Tse Tung I posted in the forum.

She attacked Fox News a few days ago and now she will quickly learn the wrath of the press as “Twain” predicted.

I predict she will go under the bus with granny and all the others before next week ends.

Great quote BB,

Mark Twain had some great wisdom and insight.

Maybe the teleprompter is trying to help him one up it.:chuckles:

Michelle talks normally.  Barack sounds like he is always trying to one up his last speech.  That diminishes the impact, when every speech is the same with a few words changed.

Anyone else hear about Anita Dunn?  Mark Twain had it right when he said, ““Never pick a fight with a man who buys his ink by the barrel.”  LOL
