Mobile County EMA Director Retiring

Alabama Mobile  Walt Dickerson's last day will be July 1. He's been EMA Director since May 2005 after spending seven years as the agency's director of plans and operations.

Walt Dickerson, Director of the Mobile County Emergency Management Agency, is calling it quits before hurricane season heats up.

Dickerson will retire July 1st after 13 years with agency, the last four as director.

Dickerson will remain in the Mobile area. He has opened his own company which deals with emergency disaster planning, operations, response, preparedness and mitigation.
