When the big storms hit we lose power and all the things you take for granted become more valuable. Like lights, air conditioning, and even an Internet connection for wkrg.com. When a storm is active you get coordinates and forecast tracks in the interactive tracker. In quiet stretches you can use the tracker to go back to see any tropical storm or hurricane in the past decade. Go to Weather Education to find over half a dozen articles on tropical weather and preparation. Read up on hurricane facts so you don’t get fooled by the myths. You probably remember recent hurricanes but did you know there were major hurricanes in 1906, 1916, and 1926? Read about these historic events and find streaming video on recent storms.
