WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - Emergency officials in Alabama attributeda drowning death to Tropical Storm Fay, after a man swimming on
Lake Martin in rough conditions disappeared and drowned.
Family members told Elmore County authorities that the
33-year-old man drowned Saturday on Lake Martin, near Dopson's
Point, shortly before 5 p.m.
The body was recovered Sunday morning.
The victim lived in Mobile County and was visiting family at the
lake near Montgomery. His name is not yet released.

This is horrible and sad but I have to say this, I’m sorry this can not be blamed on Fay, this is blamed on stupidity, unless he was swimming b/c of a flood and drowned that way, but I assume that was not the case since he was in a lake. PEOPLE PLEASE, IF THE WATER IS ROUGH, PLEASE BE SMART AND DO NOT GO SWIMMING IN IT.
