MILTON, Florida - Today, 10/22/09, is the last day of the US Navy’s Fly-In at Whiting Field. Aviation students get to fly helicopters that they may pilot later in their careers. Organizers say it’s a good chance for the students to get hands-on experience. The event started Tuesday and ends today. Nearly 30 helicopters were at Whiting Field. To learn more about the base, its people and what they do there, check out tonight’s Hometown Tour. That’ll be on News 5 at 6 pm this evening.
