I'm sure most of y'all read the news article about former Alabama governor-hopeful Loretta Nall suggesting that all Alabama residents mail their sex toys to Attorney General Troy King's office in Montgomery. Earlier in the week she evidently sent King an inflatable pig. Where do you even buy an inflatable pig, and what would you do with one once you'd purchased it?

In any case, reading this article I came across this blurb which nicely shows Nall's sense of humor.

"Nall campaigned for governor in 2006 on the Libertarian ticket. When a political columnist drew attention to her cleavage, she didn't like it at first. But she turned the publicity to her advantage, raising campaign funds by selling T-shirts with her photo and the slogan, "More of these boobs!! And less of these boobs." Beneath the slogan were pictures of Bob Riley, Lucy Baxley and other candidates."

I think most people agree that what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms is not something that should be regulated by laws, local or national. Well, maybe meAmerican, as I do recall how he (she?) called Yvonne and me "aroused" making that word sound somehow much dirtier than it really is. But anyway, it's disappointing that reports like the sex toy ban continue to hit national news, maintaining Alabama's reputation as backwards in the eyes of the rest of the nation.

The Ag has no business in my bedroom. Nor does he have any business telling me what I can and cannot buy to use in my bedroom. As for the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals stating that we the people have no constitutional right to sexual privacy that's just plain wrong. Sex in and of itself is a very private act, especially here in the Bible Belt.

Thank you for remembering me in the same sentence with aroused. That's the normal effect. Hehehe! Actually I'm all for LESS govt interference. Just because I don't put my desires and lusts on a public forum, doesn't I don't have feelings. You are borderline offending them. Not really just put that in for laughs, kinda like troy puts it in for laughs. For him I don't know what "IT" is, but I'm sure he has plenty of "IT" now withall the deliveries.

I know where I lived in Texas they had to be sold as novelties only, is it that way here? What grown adults do in their own bedroom is their own business. Is anyone else scared of the store in Theodore(or that vicinity) that sells second-hand items of this sort? EEwwwwwww!

I personally believe that politicians should keep their noses out of places they don't belong and they don't belong in people's bedrooms or any other room they choose to use for the ultmate pleasure. A sex toy is a sexual stimulant, well, duh, so is Viagra, Cialus and Levetra, and they cost a whole lot more. The police department uses handcuffs for rendering criminals but if you use them in your bedroom, now it's a sex toy. Hey, maybe the fact that my dog sleeps in the same bedroom is immoral or that if you shower with another person because it's fun, then than they could be considered a sex toyl. Give us break. I'm 67 years old, and if I have to hit my wife in the head with a brick and they call that a sex toy, well, book me Dano, I'm guilty.

There was an article on the other new channels web site about one state lawmaker that wants to stop legislating the bedroom.
How much you want to bet it never even sees a vote.

I wonder if the sex toy ban is a crack at the gay community since we are in the bible belt and sex toys, while also enjoyed by heterosexuals, are a more significant part of many homosexual relations.

My wife and I would like to hear the reasons behind the initial introduction of this ban. When we bought some toys we had to sign a document saying that the toys we were buying were for educational, instructional, or medicinal purposes. This has gone too far.

Just because you can't purchase sex toys IN Alabama doesn't mean you can't purchase sex toys OUTSIDE of Alabama and have them SHIPPED TO Alabama.

Nonetheless, it's none of the government's business. They should be more concerned with getting the food tax abolished than what John and Jane Doe do for excitement on a Saturday night.
