As some of y'all may have heard, Dog is in hot water. It's Michael Richards all over again, racism rearing it's ugly head from the people you least expect. It's always upsetting to learn that folks I respect are not who they appear to be.

I'm a big Dog fan. Love him, love his family, love his simple values and prayer circles and seemingly sincere way of always wanting what's best for not only the people he cares about but the bad guys he brings in.

Part of me wants to believe he's sorry and did what he did out of simple ignorance. But then I read that he tells his son - family…you know, the folks Dog's said over and over again are all that really matter in the whole world - that unless he breaks up with his black girlfriend he's no longer got a job.

Did you see Dr. Phil today? They discussed what happened and invited the Dog to speak his side but he declined. That doesn't look good for him. A&E;suspended his show for the time being, but most of the guests agreed he shouldn't lose his show over what he said in private, even as horrible as it was. The longer he waits to come out and say something the worse he looks. But gee what a wonderful son he has!

I missed Dr. Phil but know that Dog was interviewed Hannity and Colmes and Larry King Live. I'd wanted to watch but it slipped my mind. Hate I missed hearing what he had to say in his defense.

I do know though that Tucker's girlfriend, Shinnery (that's an interesting name), is slapping a lawsuit on Dog for slander and defamation of character. I'm very disappointed that Tucker secretly taped he and his daddy's conversation and then sold it for $15,000 to The Enquirer. Bad son.
