You work, you try to support your children but you just can't seem to get ahead. Meanwhile your ex, who was ordered to pay support for the children lives a wonderful life. Right?????? Where is the justice????? Its not only Alabama, its everywhere!!!! The whole child support system needs to be revamped. All we want is a chance at life for us and our children. We shouldn't have to work three jobs and still can't live...

Mary, I am not a single mom so I have not walked in your shoes. My daughter had one child and her husband could not stand for the baby to cry and wake him up. This man was abusive to her. He insisted that she bring the baby to me. We raised the baby until he was eight years old. She had divorced his father and went to work. She remarried and took her eight year old son home with them. He is now 22 years old and his father never paid one dime of child support. He never acknowledged a birthday or Christmas. My daughter is a hard working woman. She makes a very good living.
