The Alabama Senate was scheduled to take up a bill that would expand the state's hate crimes prevention and prosecution laws to include affectional orientation and gender identity, giving it an up or down vote. I take it that didn't happen, and the bill died without getting a shot on the full senate floor?

Updated 5/20 -- Never mind, I got my answer elsewhere. Thanks anyways...
