Well it is just so crazy the rental situation in Baldwin County.  I live in Silverhill and I am trying to find affordable rental house for me and my kids.  I currently rent however the house is having issues.  I am in the process of trying to hopefully find something for the price I am paying now.  Some really nice houses are going up in Robertsdale that will be 675.00 a month which is a little more than I pay now but it is alot better home and it is new.  I could afford to rent one but according to the application credit is an issue and they do not allow a co signer to sign on the application.  Why is it so hard for a single mom to try to make it.  I have a full time job that I make 10.00 and I do receieve child support on time.  I see all of these mexicans coming here and using the goverment for assitance and I am an americn and I cant afford to provide a decent home for my kids and I.  Someone please tell me how come?!?!!?!?!?!?! I work hard everyday and it is an uphill struggle everyday Someone needs to see the problem out there for single moms who are honest and work hard and just want a decent home for my kids.

Flowwergirl, I’ve thought about your post since reading it a couple of days ago. It’s said to say but I’m speechless. Wish I had an answer for you!! I live in Monroeville. I too am having problems finding decent housing here. Everywhere is so nasty that is government assisted living. I am grateful to have 2 wonderful parents that have let me and my 2 kids stay at their home until I can find somewhere to go. I do not want to expose my children to drug use and selling that goes on in the offered housing units around here. What are parents like us to do?

Not to mention the cost of child care you have to pay in order to have a full time job.
