Funny how our taste change over the years. I hardly ever even listen to music on the radio these days. It’s either talk radio or silence when I am driving and maybe a little 92 ZEW when I am in the mood. I couldn’t even tell you what or who is in the top ten these days, but I do get a kick out of Idol. Even that is losing its edge for me though. This whole season fell a little flat and I doubt I will follow it very closely next year.

I got all wrapped up in the election coverage last night and forgot all about Idol. Who looked bad? I heard this morning that Jason Castro forgot the words to one of his songs. Will that get him the boot tonight?

I wasn't really into it last night either, but I did hear on WABB this morning that Jason did forget the words and that when they were giving out the numbers to vote, he was mouthing "don't vote." I think he wants to go home. From what I have heard, he is uncomfortable with all the attention and feels like this isn't what he really wants anymore. I think it will be Jason or possibly Syesha to go. I think it will come down to the two David's in the finals.

I agree. What was the deal last night at the end? Jason seemed to not even want to sing and acted like he was just goofing around with the song.

I think he knows or has a feeling what the final outcome will be as well as we do. I mean you don't come this far and forget lyrics. I did not watch it Tuesday night but, judging from the clips last night his performance seemed lackluster.

No surprise with that one, but I still think there is a market for his musical style.

Now, I guess we just wait to see if someone screws up or passes out during a preformance. Otherwise it is all but over.

I'm looking forward to tonights performances, although I don't believe there will be any surprises at all from here on out. I'm still not sure if Archie or Cookie is going to win, but either way I won't be surprised. They have both earned their way to the top, as has Sayesha, but I just don't think she has the popularity to make it to the end. Good luck to them all.

grin Like many have stated...no surprises! DC vs DA!! I believe they both deserve to be in the ShowDown!! cool smile vs cool cheese DC is a natural talent, with voice and stage presence. He should win the title. But DA is also a winner! The boy cannot be ignored or discarded. What a voice!! But a little timid on stage. He's a diamond in the rough! (Some of the others had good potential, but they were still coal!) I'm excited about these guys!! And I can't wait to see what music they will give us!
But how about that performance by Fantasia! big surprise I think Simon's look said it all! shock Dennis Rodman in drag! I'm sure I wouldn't want my daughters to view her as an "Idol" or role model!!!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hated Fantasia's screeching! I didn't see her when she was an actual contestant, but all I could think was HOW in the world did she win an Idol title?!? She sounded like a cat in heat in the ghetto-and looked like one too. JMO.

I really like both David's. I worry about DA's shyness. Though it is charming, he will have to develop some stronger stage skills if he wins, or if he goes on to make record deals. He'll just have to get used to being in the spotlight and adored. DC seems reserved, but that may be shyness too, although he comes across as aloof at times. Both need work in the overall personality department, I think.
