What is going on downtown today March 25th?

Traffic was crazy this morning and I see nothing here or at al.com about any special events.

It's crazy traffic Tuesday! Didn't you get the memo??

Must have missed the memo!

They had traffic backing up onto I-10 at the Canal St. exit and then detouring traffic at Canal and Conception.

I heard on the radio that Guilliano and some other inspirational speakers were supposed to be at the convention center, and that was why traffic was a problem.

That makes sense. I wonder why that wasn't covered by WKRG, or did I just miss it.....

It's been in the paper for weeks. They are holding a "Motivational Seminar". I wanted to go, but I just couldn't get motivated.

Yeah, they've had full-page ads in the newspaper for several weeks now, but I'd forgotten it was today. Zig Ziglar, Rudy Giuliani and Dr. Robert Schuller, among others, will whip Mobilians into a motivational frenzy before the day's over.

I've been to similar seminars before. The excitement lasts for a day or two and then I'm...back to normal.

Well, I have not looked at a paper paper in a while. I'm sure the seminar will be thrilling. I wonder why they didn't invite Rev. Wright. He can sure inspire people.
