I would like to know why the media scares people with the economic reports. Yes, we have a economic problem. One of the reasons is people that have been living on credit for years, the people that have bought homes that they could not afford and should not even be looking at, and the banks that threw money at anyone that walked into the doors. The price of gas is up because the value of a dollar is down. The price of gas in the UK has not changed too much, they pay about $6 a gallon. The stories that the media is running about the country going into recession is just scaring people. They do a poll, make it work for them, after they run stories to get the results they want. I am so sick of the media scaring people to change their minds and attitudes. The one who controls the media, controls the country.
Just let the economy work itself out. Let the banks go under, and the people that can't afford their houses to have to downsize, then this capitalist system will straiten out. You will never hear this on the mainstream media. This is what a lot of economic professionals have said to do. That is just my 2 cents, but if the news gets their way, it will be 1/2 a cent.
