On CBS this evening the salmon industry has been going down hill for a while. Did you know that if you are only 1/64th Native American you can catch ALL the salmon you want in Oregon and Wahington? On the Columbia river you see gill nets year round. State enforcement officers may check non native americans many times a day. Do you know what that means? If you are a Non-Native American, You may have 2 salmon a year. Tha is one of the reasons My wife and I moved back down to the South. The fishing is fantastic! Also sealions are predators of salmon ,but what ever you do do not kill one.
