I think this story hits at a most appropriate time. These planes are grounded for major mechanical problems and is front page news today in Seattle WA. papers and on their local news channels. And YES they use the name "Boeing" in the same sentence as the words " grounded and problems."
Bamabob here is the facts not what you make up. Please do us all a favor and tell the truth.
Senator Murray's Statement on FAA Maintenance Inspections Announcement
For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 18, 2008
(Washington, D.C.) - Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Chairman of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee, issued the following statement in regard to the FAA’s announcement of enhanced reviews of airline maintenance records:
“While the FAA is doing the right thing in accelerating its review of airline maintenance practices, this announcement also raises concerns about the FAA’s lax oversight in this area. American taxpayers employ almost 4,000 FAA safety inspectors across the country whose principal job is to ensure that the airlines follow all safety rules and regulations. The fact that the FAA now feels the need to double check its work raises a lot of questions that the American people deserve answers to.”
Murray will pursue this and related aviation safety matters at a subcommittee hearing on April 17.
