I can't believe Virginia is trying to convict Micheal Vick again. This is Double Jeapardy folks, plane and simple. It's to bad that people are so blinded by thier spite that they are willing to skirt law and feed the raving horde.

If the guy felt so bad about what he did that he confessed let him serve his time, fake rehabilitate
himself and go on entertaining us.

How would you suggest he entertain us gentlemanonce-with his football or dog-fighting? He should be convicted for everything that every law allows-not only for dog-fighting, but for animal cruelty charges also. Dog-fighting is a FEDERAL offense, so the state needs to prosecute for its laws also.

I really wonder about this gentlemanonce person. Maybe he needs to take the empathy courses on animal cruelty through PETA with Micheal Vick.

Michael Vick has never been a nice person. He plays football for himself, not his team. He's arrogant and cruel too apparently. I think it runs in the family, because his little bro screwed himself by stepping on an opponent's head in college ball and getting kicked out of school. Michael needs a therapist too, along with all the jail time possible. Research shows people who abuse/kill animals are more likely to abuse/kill humans.

you are right about Micheal Vick-he needs serious jail time and serious therapy. Animal abuse is often the first sign of other serious mental illnesses. Someone who can abuse or torture a helpless animal, often will go on to do the same with children or other people. Look at Columbine, Dahmer, and some of the other massacres that received media attention. These people started with animal abuse first. That is why people who are abusing animals, in any form whether it be starvation, dog-fighting, whatever need to be prosecuted. But first we have to get them to the courtroom and that seems to be where some of the problem lies.

The arrogance or stupidity of him is what gets me. He walked into an airport with weed in a water bottle, and he had all the dog fighting operations going on behind his house. The only reason he got caught was the cousin who used vick's address for the police and the police stumbled on to it.

But thank goodness the police did stumble upon it. Here again, another poster, Clementine writes about her experiences with trying to report a suspected dog-fighting ring here. The run-around she got, just to report it was ridiculous. Then when someone actually does investigate it, and the person is found to have 20 or so pit bulls they are only fined with too many animals(that's from the jurisdiction they live in). Yet others witnessed people coming and going, often with other dogs. I believe Clementine even said she saw barrels or tubs, a portable classroom building, etc. Then all but 2 or 3 of the dogs are moved within a week or so after AC goes out. I still find it hard to believe that they did not get this person. Perhaps what sounded like "evidence" wasn't evidence after all.

There was an interesting article in SI about Vick and how his 'boys' sold him up the river. It made me think, and now about Sean Taylor too.
