Charges were filed on elementary school coach Randy Denton on Friday Feb.15. Coach Denton is the P.E coach at W.S Neal Elementary school in East Brewton ,Alabama. Two first grade students were playing tackle and one of the students may have tackled the other one kinda hard and the student told the coach. When the coach asked the student did he tackle him the child said yes and the coach then grabbed the child with both of his hands and slammed him to the floor. When the childs parent herd of the situation she went to the school and tried to talk to the coach. After a different coach entered the room the conversation turned heated. With no understanding from the school the parent then filed charges.
I feel like all of the parents that have kids attending school their should be informed that their is a teacher that has criminal charges filed on him. He should NOT still be allowed to teach students with charges of this nature pending . He`s still teaching but, the student is not allowed to go to gym class. Why should the child be punished for what the coach did to him??
The school says that they are looking into the matter but, I feel that they need some help. Maybe if we send a news crew down here it would help them.

Hmmm It’s my understanding that a teacher cannot strike a child. I would think that this qualifies as “striking” a child in which case the teacher would be removed while an investigation is conducted. Perhaps a teacher can respond to this?
