The Humane Society of U.S. released the graphic, disturbing video of pitiful, helpless, sick cows being brutally treated at Hallmark Slaughterhouse, Chino, CA (from where much of local schools receive meat for school lunches). First, these cows are too weak and sick to even stand - and are prohibited by USDA laws from being slaughtered, or added to meat consumption products. Second, and most important to animal advocates is the fact that this is animal cruelty, and Third - THIS AND MORE HIDEOUS ABUSE IS INFLICTED IN U.S. slaughterhouses every day.

Some of these "downers" sick cows are left to die and rot, if they can't prod them to the killing floor. Documented evidence exposed cows eaten slowly and agonizingly by rats, attacked by stray dogs at night, including baby cows only minutes old. Animal production in USA is legalized Animal Abuse and without undercover investigative reports, the public never thinks about it.

These sad instances are grabbing the public's attention - sadly only because of their fear of disease. These and thousands of instances of sadistic abuse to every animal confined and tortured in Industrial Factory Farming enterprises every day keep animal advocates busy trying to relieve the unspeakable cruelty that is inflicted upon cows, pigs, chickens - all animals produced for food, which goes unpunished, and in fact - is perfectly legal. The suffering and miserable conditions in which animals are subjected to exist in misery and pain, then brutal slaughter is a shame and a blight upon America, and upon all in society who turn their backs and let BIG BUSINESS take over the production and slaughter process. Government funds, supports and betrays animals on an hourly basis - it is time for the public to stand up for the most vulnerable of our fellow creatures on earth. Write the USDA, your representatives and boycott all meat products produced at the expense of immense, endless suffering of innocent, helpless animals.

Humane Society of the United States Site, and any other Animal Advocate Site will give you correct information on this slaughterhouse and more. Don't join the betrayal of our animals. Act, Witness and Demand change.
