I am glad they have found the last baby. I heard someone refer recently to the children, as "our" children-and I think they have become that. I am continuing to pray for their mother and the family. I know there may be some that will not agree-but I believe the Lord has worked in this tragedy from day 1. 1st-all the children were found. I don't need to say what "could have been." 2nd-We have seen an outpouring of love and support, not only across Mobile County, but from other states as well. Complete strangers coming together to donate their time, money, resources to find these babies and all the many wonderful suggestions for memorializing them. As horrific as this is, God is ALWAYS there. We would do well to remember that.

AMEN! The lord has answered our prayers for "our" babies. Now we can start the healing process as well as the mother and family...and respect her wishes on any decision she chooses for her peace of mind to be able to carry on. Now we must pray for her to have the strength to move forward and to keep strong and with FAITH, FAMILY and FRIENDS...she will.

I TOTALLY AGREE that a park should be built in the honor of the 'Four Angels'. I ALSO agree that it should be where it can't be seen from that bridge. These childrens' lives need to be remembered and celebrated with 'Happiness and Joy'......NOT painful memories. Children don't get JOY from bridges...they get it from PARKS...playing with other children, their parents, birthday parties, etc.

I feel changing the name of the bridge would be inappropriate but I would like to suggest erecting a memorial dedicated to " The four angels who died there and to all the angels who brought them home"

Thank God and the searcher's for bringing the baby home to rest. I hope parents are dealing with all this with their children my granddaughter who is six goes to Dauphin Island School and this has affected her a lot. Every morning when she goes over that bridge and sees the memorials people has done she gets really upset the children at the School talks about this all day it has really upset a lot of these children. So, parents please pay attention to your own children through this tragedy. May God Bless

I think Four angels park is a wonderful idea, I do agree that renaming the bridge is painful memories. Maybe now they found the 4th body believed to be 2 yr old Hannah all 4 children can rest in peace.

I have read with amazement some of the posts written here and other forums. Do you not realize everything will have painful memories-that is all these children will be, is a memory. There are many beautiful ideas, but it is not for anyone to say whether any of them are right or wrong. Only the mother should decide if she wants ANY kind of memorial, and then what kind. Her wishes should be kept first and foremost.
I hope the bridge renaming passes, with a simple sign to mark their demise. I fail to see how a sign can be "expensive" and time consuming as some have argued. What about the expense of fencing, the expense of a fountain or a park? I am not against any of these ideas and sincerely hope we will see multiple memorials for the children(if that is what the mother wants).
I think the idea of having a box to check on the power bill is great. What could we do, as someone said, if everyone gave only $1. I like the idea of donating to a children's hospital that was posted on one of the story threads-but why not USA Children's and Women's? They are in the business of helping kids in this very community.
There are so many ideas, but I don't think we should limit ourselves to an either/or situation. There is room in the community for both a sign at the bridge, a fountain on DI, and a park in Bayou La Batre-once again if that is what the mother wants.

We will always remember the children that were our future. In the end...it's true, we have to respect the mother's wishes in whatever she chooses to help her move forward. I do believe a park in honor of the children in Bayou La Batre where maybe she took the children or were the children loved to go is a great idea.
Traveling to the island was always so nice to just get away from the busy schedule and relax at the camp ground...and when I would see the bridge I would just step on it to try and get there that much faster...seeing the pelicans, seagulls flying high would always bring a smile to my face. Now I will always forever keep praying for the babies, their mother and family...and WILL NEVER FORGET!

NO DO NOT RENAME THE BRIDGE. THERE IS NOT ONE PERSON IN THIS COUNTY AND BEYOND THAT WILL EVER CROSS THE D I BRIDGE THAT WONT' THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. DO SOMETHING IN THE BAYOU WHERE THE CHILDREN LIVED - WHERE THE MOTHER CAN SEE. LEAVE THE BRIDGE AS IS. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO SOMETHING NICE- BUILD HER A NEW HOME AND PAY HER BILLS. SHE WON'T WANT TO LEAVE THIS AREA AS IT IS WHERE HER CHILDREN ARE TO BURIED. GIVE HER A NEW START AND MONEY TO DO IT WITH. IF THE PUSH WAS FOR THAT - HOW WONDERFUL THAT WOULD BE.
