Maybe its true that some of the barbaric comments that have been made are because people need to vent or let off steam, but who knows who is reading these comments. I'm sure that a defense attorney would use this type of evidence to help their client at least get a change of venue, etc. So why make such statements on a Public Message Board about a Murder Case when it could be possibly used in favor of the man who started all of this. (remember....if you write it, it can be used against you.)

I agree......... God and the courts will handle the "monster"........ I know we are all mad and want justice served.....some even want revenge........Lets just pray for the babies, the mom and the family for they need strength..........The babies are in Gods hands..........

A tragedy like this always seems to bring people out of the woodwork, people who otherwise have nothing to say about anything else that happens in the news.

What really bothers me is that I'll bet the majority of the folks who are posting how they think the dad should be tortured before death think of themselves as "good Christians".

It's one thing to have sympathy for the family and want the criminal who did this to be punished, and quite another to rant and rave with sheer hatred on a public message board.

I think that tragedy, especially one of this magnitude brings out the worst and the best in all of us. I am a Christian, and know that my thoughts have strayed to how I would like this person taken care of. Hopefully it was just in my thoughts and I haven't ranted these words in public-if so I do apologize, because I want my testimony to match actions and words. Right now I am more focused on what the good can be out of this-I see a community(all of Mobile, Baldwin and even Pensacola and other areas) coming together to pray for and support this mother and family. I see people writing beautiful poems and setting up funds to help with expenses. I see people volunteering their efforts in recovery and in services to the family. I see people trying to set up memorials, whether that be renaming the bridge, a memorial marker, park or whatever. While I do want justice for the one responsible for the deaths of these babies-only ONE will be the final judge-and that is not in this life. My heart and prayers are with the babies and the mom. Absolutely, rmseek. A more productive outlet for all the rage that people justifiably feel would be to focus instead on ways like you've mentioned to actually help make things a little better. This lynch-mob mentality helps no one, and in fact can get completely out of control and end up doing a lot of damage. Plus, it makes us look like the sort of people those who don't live around here think of when they imagine "Southeners". There's no reason to deliberately perpetuate an unfair stereotype.

As it turns out, that turned out to be a more difficult question to simply answer that I thought it would be when I first read it. I think different religious denominations would disagree about the definition of a true Christian. Must you be "born again"? Must you go to church regularly? Must you believe every word of the bible, even the contradictions? Must you do good deeds? Must you follow a particular religion?

To me, a true Christian tries to live his or her life in a Christ-like manner. We consider ourselves children of God and strive to make Him proud of us by our actions, words and deeds. We try not to judge others, lest we ourselves be judged - because if that happens, we're always gonna come up short.

I think that question is so interesting, we should start another thread where others could post their opinions about what does make a good Christian.

Every time I watch the news of the continuing story of Danny, Ryan, Hannah and Lindsey tears fall freely. I have never felt so touched by a news story. A picture of Danny pops into my head and I think of how hard this baby has tried to live and it breaks my heart. I have seen other stories of children being killed(Susan Smith) but again I have NEVER felt this kind of heart break. I thought going to the Candle Light vigil and donating money would some how help but I guess the only real help for me and others will be finding the last baby and seeing their father sent to death row. My only thought about him facing death row is that it will take years for that to happen and Danny, Ryan, Hannah and Lindsey didn't have those years. Their mother looks like her soul has gone. I saw her last might and she looked like just the empty shell of a person. How does someone come back for something like this. I would like her to know that she has a whole community that is here for her.

We should focus on WHY this man murdered his children. Remember what he said to the police from the very beginning? That he did it to send a message to the mother that he was THE MAN, the HEAD of the household - that she was supposed to do what HE said. All of you out there that are trying to define what a Christian is should listen carefully to that. Recently, a collaberation of southern Christian church leaders signed and approved the outdated concept that a woman SHOULD SUBMIT to her husband in order to be a "good Christian." Still think that is a good idea?

I think he should get the death penalty. I'm sorry but i work way to hard to earn my money and my money is helping pay for a baby killer. Fry his ass and quit wastin my money!
