I'm Disabled due to a variety internal of issues, in the last few months my wife has also become disabled, thus we are in bad shape financially.
We have lost our home and have had to move in with our daughter, however this is not going to be able to be done on a long term basis, my wife has applied for ssi, but here again this takes time, i figure to pick up things and take them to the flea market to try and pick up extra cash, i make just over 650.00 a month in ssi, so not much, our car payment which we have thankfully been able to keep thus far runs almost 350.00 so you can see we are in a mess, if anyone has one that runs, looks unimportant, that will take payments on it (small) we would love to hear from them. I can make Basic websites, install forums and stores etc... if the owner would consider a trade or barter, anyone that might know of a doctor also that is taking new patients and takes medicaid would be most welcome, i had a primary care doctor in Milton but to be honest simply cant afford to spend the money for gas to get up there.
We live in Pensacola off of olive road
Thanks
Claude

I am sorry that things are so bad for you right now Claude. It is tough to get through this, but you will. I cant do anything for you but give you advice as to where to turn for help.
As for a truck or van or any other thing you might need, I would suggest that you get in touch with the Waterfront Mission in Pensacola. Tell them what has happened, see if they can offer assistance and if not if they know who can.
As far as finding a doctor in the Pensacola area, I would ask my primary for a referral to somebody in Pensacola. That way you are going to somebody that your own doctor trust.
I hope that things turn around for you soon.

First Call for Help

If your family were on the verge of homelessness — you have lost your job and could not pay the rent or mortgage — what resources would you seek and how would you find them? If your elderly neighbor needed a wheelchair or a ramp built, where would you go to find her help?

First Call For Help is your answer: (850) 595-5905 or http://www.fcfh.info.

In 2006-2007, First Call For Help’s team of eight staff and 10 volunteers responded to more than 24,000 calls. Each caller is unique. Each caller receives personal attention.

“I think what we are really giving people is hope,” said First Call For Help information and referral specialist Jan Savage. “A caller who was in a really tough spot told me at the end of the call that it was nice just to hear a kind voice. I think that’s what we are able to do that the phone book cannot.”

• In March of 2007, First Call For Help of Okaloosa and Walton counties began forwarding their calls to United Way of Escambia County’s First Call For Help call center. These calls account for about 1,200 calls annually.

• First Call For Help regularly surveys callers on their call center experience. The caller satisfaction rate in 2006-2007 was 99 percent.

• First Call For Help will transition to a 24-hour service that can be accessed with a 3-digit number, 2-1-1, when additional financial support is secured.

God bless you.

The Salvation Army also has used vehicles. Medicaid can provide transportation to and from MD appointments, but you have to call them ahead of time. As for finding and MD locally, check with the health department and university affiliated hospitals.
