The mobile county commissioners have once again refused to budget enough money to support thier personnel. I personnally do not work for the county, but it is understandable why people think twice before accepting a job with the county. Commissioner Nodine used a scare tactic this week trying to say the counties budget was not big enough to support a county wide pay raise. Commissioner Nodine said he would have to lay off employees because the county budget was not large enough to give the much needed raise. Thier is a hiring freeze on all county open positions as well for the next 10 months. I wish i could put a bill freeze on some of my bills when i needed the help. Now the workers have to find them a job somewhere else and most likely will stay where they find work. People have families and have needs these county commissioners are ignoring. Once again the county will get loaded up with a bunch of who cares workers, "can you blame them", They get no raises unless they get laid off. Sounds like a horror movie, and worst it happening to the best resource of mobile county has" its work force". If this is proper management "LOOK OUT MOBILE COUNTY" all the good workers will be leaving this crazed enviroment and find some dependable employment. This will be the worst mantained county in Alabama very soon. HEY GET OUT THIER AND FIND US SOME GOOD COMMISSIONERS. Lets vote these ignorant commissioners out and get us some first class managers.
